VOLUNTEER SIGNUP

THE PAC URGENTLY NEEDS NEW VOLUNTEERS!

Please review the positions the PAC needs to fill right now so that we can operate in the 2002/23 school year. If we do not fill these positions we cannot operate, which means we cannot run socials, lunches, etc. We also cannot then provide extra funding for extracurricular activities or upgrades to our school environment.

Each role is identified as either an annual position or as casual sign-up; it can be a role that you can do at home, or one that requires a volunteer at the school. Many roles have two or more positions, so you will be working together with others, and not doing it all on your own! The PAC Executive Chair and the rest of the executive team are also there to support you all the way! Please find all the details below!

EXECUTIVE ROLES (annual)

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS COORDINATOR

(1 position - with help from PAC
Chair/Co-Chair)

What’s involved | Ensure that the school has emergency supplies (granola bars and emergency water); help with emergency drills, such as emergency release drills at the school during school hours. Attend monthly PAC executive meetings.

Time involved: 1 hr/ month or as needed

SOCIAL EVENTS & FUNDRAISERS – Casual Volunteers

WELCOME BBQ SOCIAL

SEPTEMBER 22 (Please sign-up ASAP!)

15 volunteers needed:
5 grill masters,
8 ketchup coordinators
2 bun busters

What’s involved: Setting up BBQ and tables of food. Cooking and handing out food, clean-up.

Time involved:
2 hrs prep and planning the event as a team a few weeks before event,
4hrs (4:30 pm to 8 pm) at the event or as much as possible before eating too many hot dogs.

HOT LUNCH DISTRIBUTION

FUNDRAISER

Multiple spots open to help distribute hot lunches
on Fridays at Westview.

HALLOWEEN HOWL

OCTOBER 27

14 volunteers needed:
1 DJ
4 spooky decorators
5 bewitching crafters
4 food zombies

What’s involved: Planning activities and set-up for the event in the gym, music/disco coordinators, activity/craft table volunteers, pizza distribution, clean up.

Time involved:
2 hrs prep and planning the event as a team a few weeks before event,
4hrs (4pm - 8pm) at the event or as much as possible before turning into a pumpkin.

MOVIE & PIZZA NIGHT

NOVEMBER 23

10 volunteers needed:
2 film directors
4 concession commanders
4 ushers

What’s involved: Planning and set-up for the event in the gym, movie coordinators, pizza distribution, clean up.

Time involved:
1 hr prep and planning the event as a team a few weeks before event,
3hrs (5pm - 8pm) at the event or as much as you can while also watching the movie.
