DEAR COMMUNITY
Our music room at Westview Elementary School is facing imminent closure as the North Vancouver district plans to convert it into a kindergarten classroom. Thus, putting our children's actual music program at risk. We appreciate and are extremely grateful that the Westview staff are doing everything in their power to keep the music program alive. However, we find it unacceptable that our children and the Westview community should suffer due to the North Vancouver School District's lack of foresight and planning.
We are demanding that the District take immediate action to construct a portable classroom, so that we can safeguard and secure the nurturing environment that the Westview students depend on every day.
Currently, the school District has not provided us with a definitive plan regarding the fate of the music room. As concerned members of the Westview PAC, we are actively seeking solutions and we refuse to remain silent. We are asking you to join us in our efforts and lend your voice to our cause. We firmly believe that by working together, we can find a resolution that will allow our school and children to retain the invaluable music room.
